Interview on Jerusalem Radio – About Dementia and Concealment

Dr. Nati Blum, CEO of the association EMDA Association, interviewed on 08/25/2026 on the radio Jerusalem To the program main title, following the revelation about Mickey Berkowitz's dementia by his family in an article by Nadav Raskin on Channel 12.
The interviewer, Maya Hasson Kraus , asked why there is actually a phenomenon of concealment, and Nati spoke about the barrier of shame, how when celebrities are exposed it helps remove it, and about the double burden that families with dementia bear - both the disease and the concealment.

The EMDA Association works on behalf of families dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's, and at the same time works to raise public awareness of the issue in Israel, among other things through extensive media activity.

The color purple is associated worldwide with the fight against Alzheimer's, and the Purple Flag campaign is part of an international effort to raise awareness of the disease, encourage public discourse, and express solidarity with those affected and their families.
