Workshop to improve and preserve memory

Target audience: 60 years old and over

Number of sessions : 4, one and a half hours each session (face-to-face)

Recommended number of participants: up to 25

Essence of the workshop: Theoretical and practical learning to improve and preserve memory, guided by the EMDA Association staff (participants are asked to complete certain homework assignments between sessions, but this is not a condition for participation).

The program:

Meeting 1 – How memory actually works; information about factors that affect memory; what we remember and what we don't; 
Meeting 2 – Strategies for using memory; what can help us remember and also dealing with phenomena such as "on the tip of the tongue" and "you sound familiar to me" 
Meeting 3 – What happens when memory is no longer what it used to be; adopting a healthy lifestyle that supports memory
Meeting 4 – Experiential cognitive practice sessions
